Co-founder & CEO, fuboTV
David Gandler is co-founder and CEO of fuboTV, the leading sports-first streaming TV service. Officially launched in January 2015 as a streaming soccer service, fuboTV has evolved under David’s leadership into one of the leading virtual MVPDs in the country. David and his team recently closed a $55 million Series C investment round, and has raised a total of $75.6 million to date.
Also in his role as CEO, David has spearheaded the negotiation of distribution agreements for the live streaming TV service with leading programmers and content owners, including rights holders to the most popular sports in the world, including recent additions CBS Corporation, Fox Networks Group and NBCUniversal – including carriage of Comcast/NBC and Fox-owned Regional Sports Networks – as well as beIN SPORTS, Benfica TV, Chelsea TV, Eleven Sports, GolTV, NBA TV, Univision Communications, Inc. and more. Additionally, he has grown fuboTV’s entertainment, news and information offering through deals with A+E Networks, Crown Media Family Networks, Fuse Media, REVOLT Media & TV and Scripps Networks Interactive. Today, the company’s entry-level Fubo Premier bundle, which launched out of Beta in April 2017, brings subscribers 60-plus channels, including 34 that carry sports – more than any of its competitors’ similar offerings.
Prior to founding fuboTV, David served as VP of monetization for DramaFever, where he oversaw all agency and advertiser sales for the streaming video service, including multiplatform integrated marketing solutions and programmatic sales. Before this, David was a digital account executive with Scripps Networks Interactive, the parent company of Food Network and HGTV, where he grew revenue against his accounts over 30% annually managing $9MM in digital revenue across category-leading clients such as SC Johnson, Unilever and MasterCard. David was also recognized by Scripps as Negotiator of the Year, Best Convergent Partner, and Most Creative Use of Marketing Assets, affirming his position as a leading client advocate. David’s past experience also includes more than 10 years of video sales in local broadcast and cable TV within both the general and Hispanic market, including at Time Warner Cable Media Sales and NBCUniversal’s Telemundo Media. He graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Economics.
